The delights of the outdoor life are on your doorstep, discover the wealth of wildlife especially rabbits, pheasants, buzzards, woodpeckers and even roe deer (if you are quiet). 

Spend the day as you choose, we have some lovely scenic circular walks starting from Alpine Grove and an abundance of local attraction leaflets available to read.

Family Log Cabin Holidays in Somerset

For the perfect family friendly atmosphere, children are occupied with a play area plus the abundance of safe cycle and walking tracks within the park to explore and play safely. The woods are great for den building.

Three of our four log cabins are dog friendly, the fourth is kept dog free for guests with allergies, we also have our own seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool (82 degrees F) which is positioned in a sun trap complimented with sun loungers.

There is a small on-site shop selling camping equipment and some essentials, we support our local community by selling locally sourced bacon and sausages as well as milk delivered by our milkman. We also sell drinks, ice cream and a small selection of pocket money toys.

Each of our four log cabins has the same overall layout with two bedrooms. Each of them has a king/double bed in the main bedroom and a combination of single beds or bunks in the second bedroom, sleeping 4 or 5 in total (see below). They each have a full size bathroom with bath/shower and an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The lounge includes two sofas, a log burner and TV with DVD player, the dining room has a dining table and chairs and the kitchen has a fridge-freezer, microwave, oven, hob and dishwasher. All cutlery, crockery, bedding and towels are included along with a basket of logs for the log burner. Each cabin also has a balcony with as picnic bench or table and chairs and a parking space in front.

Hedgehog Cabin: Sleeps 5 with a king/double, a single and bunk beds.

Woodpecker Cabin: Sleeps 4 with a king/double and two single beds and includes a private hot tub.

Tawny Owl Cabin: Sleeps 5 with a king/double, a another double with a single bunk above. This cabin also has a walk in shower instead of a bath and includes a private hot tub.

Roe Deer Cabin: Sleeps 5 with a king/double, a single and bunk beds.
